As the 4th of July quickly approaches...

...here's a digital LO I created for Page Plans. This picture was taken of Mason and I last year on the 4th of July. I can't believe its already been a year. Last year at this time we were busy getting ready to tell our families we were moving away...and some of you know how that turned out :( Now that we are back anxiously waiting for our home to sell in a market that SUCKS we are desperately trying to find these smiles again.

WHAT A LONG WEEK...its good to be home!

...Last Friday we loaded the kids in the Honda and drove to California to the Simon Family Reunion...I remember doing this as a young kid myself...the picnic hasn't changed a bit...it was exactly the same! lol

Lots of fried chicken...TONS of desserts and 100 degree temperatures, horseshoes, Hawaiian Punch...oh and I can't forget the water balloons. The kids had a blast.

...after the reunion we drove up the coast and ended up at the Beach for a few days...Stuart had some Port business. The weather was beautiful...this NEVER happens!

Over at Page Plans this week I made this Card Sketch:

I had less then one hour to pack the car and get this card made before I needed to pick Stuart up at work before heading out of town...this is what I came up with:

and here's my digital layout for this week:

Tomorrow my mother and father in law will celebrate their 42nd wedding anniversary...so I used the sketch from 2SKETCHES4YOU to make them this card...I was making all kinds of silly mistakes I must have been really tired....but I needed to get this done ~ TFL

So it was brought to my attention...

...a new fun site to play at... 2Sketches4You
I made the following cards using their Sketches...Sketches are so fun! You just never know what you will come out with when you are done, you have a map that helps you get going but by adding your own touch of creativity to the sketch - its always fun to see how it turns out in the end. SO when you get a chance check out their sketches they are awesome!

Girls in my Circle

My older sister sent this to me tonight...its SO TRUE...so instead of just sending out a bunch of emails I decided to just post it on my blog :) ENJOY!

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
and then I started to become a woman. And then I found out that if you
allow your heart to open up, You will be shown the best, in many
friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your partner.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your
parents. Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in
your children and their activities. Another when you want to shop,
share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,' another, 'Let's fight
together, ' another, 'Let's walk away together.' One friend will meet
your spiritual need, another your shoe fetish, another your love for
movies, another will be with you in your season of confusion, another
will be your clarifier, another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, on
whatever the day, or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym
shoes on and hair pulled back, or to hold you back from making a
complete fool of yourself ... those are your best friends. It may all be
wrapped up in one woman, but for many, it's wrapped up in several... one
from 6th grade, one from high school, some from the college years, a
couple from old jobs, on some days your mother, on some days your
neighbor, on others, your sisters, cousins, and on some days, your
daughters.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never
did, who won't anymore, and who always will. So don't worry about people
from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years, AND ONLY
IF YOU'D LIKE TO, pass this on to the women who have been placed in your
life to make a difference, and don't forget to send it back to the one
who gave it to you, if they have made a difference in your life.
