Page Plans Week #8

This week over at Page Plans a theme of - Father's Day was picked. Each team member created a either a card or layout for the men in their lives. This weeks sketch was made by Chris.... I chose to do a layout about my husband and our youngest son Mason.

So it was brought to my attention...

...a new fun site to play at... 2Sketches4You
I made the following cards using their Sketches...Sketches are so fun! You just never know what you will come out with when you are done, you have a map that helps you get going but by adding your own touch of creativity to the sketch - its always fun to see how it turns out in the end. SO when you get a chance check out their sketches they are awesome!

Girls in my Circle

My older sister sent this to me tonight...its SO TRUE...so instead of just sending out a bunch of emails I decided to just post it on my blog :) ENJOY!

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
and then I started to become a woman. And then I found out that if you
allow your heart to open up, You will be shown the best, in many
friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your partner.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your
parents. Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in
your children and their activities. Another when you want to shop,
share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,' another, 'Let's fight
together, ' another, 'Let's walk away together.' One friend will meet
your spiritual need, another your shoe fetish, another your love for
movies, another will be with you in your season of confusion, another
will be your clarifier, another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, on
whatever the day, or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym
shoes on and hair pulled back, or to hold you back from making a
complete fool of yourself ... those are your best friends. It may all be
wrapped up in one woman, but for many, it's wrapped up in several... one
from 6th grade, one from high school, some from the college years, a
couple from old jobs, on some days your mother, on some days your
neighbor, on others, your sisters, cousins, and on some days, your
daughters.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never
did, who won't anymore, and who always will. So don't worry about people
from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years, AND ONLY
IF YOU'D LIKE TO, pass this on to the women who have been placed in your
life to make a difference, and don't forget to send it back to the one
who gave it to you, if they have made a difference in your life.

Our Cruise was amazing!

So Stuart and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary a couple months early...we had such a great time. In 1997, when Stuart and I started planning our wedding I was living in Las Vegas and he was living in WA State... we didn't have a lot of money for a honeymoon so we said on our 10th Wedding Anniversary we would go on a nice trip...I can hardly believe the time has come (and went!) During the cruise there were SO MANY older couples...and I mean OLDER...they were so funny...they didn't believe we had been married for 10 years...they all thought we were on our honeymoon!

...and even a little sun poisoning couldn't get in the way of our fun either LOL

Stuart and I arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico late in the evening on Friday...we enjoyed dinner in a little cafe where to our dismay no one spoke English...so after we laughed our heads off we ate some yummy pork asada but we passed on the plantains. After dinner we walked several blocks back to our hotel...and the next morning we checked out and grabbed a cab and headed to the ship...

We set sail late that night and got to St. Thomas early the next morning...then we sailed to St. Kitts were we snorkled...next we went to Grenada (which was my FAVORITE island)

then to Bonaire and Aruba. I can't wait to go on another Cruise...Camryn is already planning a Disney Cruise for the family somehow she has figured out how to go online to the Disney Cruise...it's gonne be awhile before we can do that one LOL
