...one more Reminisce LO completed :)

...this is our cat Morris...he is so funny he sleeps with his legs straight out and paws crossed like this all the time! My sister gave me these papers to work with and the stickers and I didn't want to disappoint her and not get something made ;) Thanks Gina...I am going to use the left overs and make a mini book!

...and yet another trip to the ER!

...this time it was Ben! He was outside playing with his cousin...thank goodness he was with him and not by himself...because he needed to have someone with him this time...Jakob ran inside to tell us Ben was hurt...when we got out there Ben was on the ground...Stuart got Ben to his feet and let him go and Ben fell over...he had no balance. We got him inside - checked him out...it wasn't much longer before he started throwing up...and then we decided we better get him to the hospital...once we got to the ER...he continued to throw up and he got a CT scan and the doctor came out and talked to us a bit and said that Ben had all the signs of inter cranial bleeding...Ben got 3 doses of Meds for the vomiting and an injection and the vomiting just wouldn't stop...he started talking to us about Ben and the possibility of having Ben being transported to Children's Hospital in either Spokane (yes, that's were we just moved from....) or Seattle both HOURS from here...at about 1 am the doctor talked to a nuerologist and since Ben's CT scan looked good...they were thinking that since he kept getting sick there might be a slow bleed that the CT scan didn't pick up but they decided to finally just let us go home anyway so at 2am this morning we were allowed to come home and asked to come back to the hospital at 7am if he continued to throw up - he threw up once in the car on the way home...the doctor told me to wake him up every 2 hours...so at 4 I tried to wake him up - he wouldn't budge...and tried again at 7 - I got him up - he felt very sick, but didn't get sick so that was good :) We never have a dull moment around the Dezember Household!

Page Plans for this Week

I wanted to also share a little bit about the day I took these photos of the boys...Last weekend we all went out to my dad's work...he's a Firearm's SRT (Special Response Team) Instructor out in the area...for those of you who do not know what THE AREA is...the area is The Hanford Nuclear Reservation. My dad started working out in the area in 1983 as a Patrolman, then moved into a Tactical Response Team (TRT), then moved to the Helicopter Response Team (HRT), then moved the Special Response Team (SRT)...then he became a Lieutenant for the SRT Team....etc...then he became a Captain....and now we are back to the beginning lol needless to say he's been around for a LONG TIME! We (my sisters & I) grew up in this environment & with several of the "old timers". It was fun see a few of them this last weekend...anyways to get back to what we did...we got to drive the Skid Car...the EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)...which was complete NUTS...literally driving CRAZY....I was with the main instructor for that and we were going 60+ backwards its was crazy!!! Then we went to the shooting range where we got to shoot a H&K P7 M13 and a M4...now I know there might be people who won't be too happy that our children actually shot these guns with live bullets...but we all were briefed and led thru a safety lesson. I am not one to have guns in my house but I let my oldest son share this opportunity with his Papa. I feel its important that my kiddos know what their Papa does and just HOW IMPORTANT his job is to our country. He may not be in the military anymore but he is still considered a soldier and is protecting sensitive nuclear material and when called upon they are the only line of defense between any potential terrorists.

...a trip to the park...and an ER visit :(

Yesterday afternoon I took the kids down to the pond to feed the ducks and just hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather...only to have it end with a horrible fall taken by me! To make matters worse I didn't have my cell phone and we had walked there and THERE WAS NO WAY we would be walking back...I stepped down and over top of this big boulder and I heard this very loud crrraaaccckkkkkk. I knew immediately that was a very bad sign. I looked around and didn't see anyone but the kids but knew I was going to need help...luckily there was a golfer near by and I sent Ben to ask him if he had a cell phone...BEN TO THE RESCUE :) We called Stuart and had him come and get us...to make a long story short my xrays did not show a break but I will be going to the foot specialist next week to check any damage done to the ligaments. In the meantime I am in an aircast and on crutches - in alot of pain and have some awesome pain meds! All I can say is THANK GOODNESS I didn't break my hand or my arm ;) Here's some photos I took right before the accident...

Bind-it-All Design Team Call

My mom told me about this call and there was no way I was going to miss this...and not even the move was going to stop me from completing all the projects...though digging thru boxes to find some stuff caused some delays. This afternoon I was able to put on the last finishing touches on the last book - it sure feels great to be done and I love each one of them :) Here's my entire submission to the Design Team Call:

...along with what we did with their product they wanted to see some of our other work this is what I chose to share...

hee hee hee for those who keep peeking....

...and you know who you are...we are finally getting to say goodbye to Spokane! Yesterday, we accepted an offer on our house. The people who are buying our home looked it one day and made an offer the next...and I don't blame them it is a nice house we did the same thing last year. The house will be closing soon...we are happy to be ending this chapter in our life!

Some REALLY GREAT News

Stuart and I got some really great news last night...you know that saying, "good things come to those who wait" lol

I'm getting ready to head off to Preschool - well drop Mason off that is...then meet Stuart at STARBUCKs ;) then I need to go to the LSS to pick up a new assignment.

Yesterday we ordered a new front door for our new house, oh good golly those things are spendy $2000 for a front door...but it sure is pretty! Of course we have to wait...these days we are good at waiting!

This afternoon I plan on finishing up 2 mini books and starting a few more. Have a great day!

We had someone interested in our house in Spokane...to make a long story short they we not able to get financing on their own...which really SUCKS for them because living SO CLOSE to their family in the neighborhood probably would have been so nice!

I am so thankful that Stuart has a wonderful job and it allows us to pay "ourselves" for two mortgages. I love living in a house again...the kids love their new school...neighborhood and new friends.
