How did it happen...

...that my baby turned "5".

Yesterday was Mason's 5th Birthday! We had a crazy day...running here and there and everywhere - we had planned on going to STARBUCKS 1st thing but that didn't happen...Grandma did come over and brought a couple of gifts and that made Mason very happy! Then we left to pick up daddy and went out for an early lunch - Mason picked Red Robin - always a favorite in our family :) didn't take Mason long to steal the watermelon from my drink...

...after lunch we headed to downtown Kennewick because we had heard about a new cupcake shop that had opened - and boy were we ever disappointed :( I should have just made my own cupcakes...but at least now we know...I do have to say that the ladies working were VERY NICE...but we were very disappointed in the cupcakes. the time we finally made it home it was already at least 100 degrees outside and all the kids wanted to do was go thats what we did...and Mason CAN NOT go swimming without his turtle goggles! now its getting close to 3:00 our day isn't close to being over - I'm already getting still have to head over to Stuart's parents and then to the Dust Devil Game - and I'm really NOT looking forward to this game since its SO HOT outside...but it is Mason's Birthday so I know I have no choice...

Stuart's boss got to throw the first pitch out at the game and he was so thoughtful and gave that ball to Mason...and then Mason got Dusty to sign it!

...we all ate dinner at the game and then we had Mason's Birthday cake at the game too but it was TOO HOT to really enjoy it...

What a day...busy - and super hot!!!

Another Whirlwind Weekend...

...we've been having plenty of those...yesterday morning I took part in the 2009 Chelanman Multisport Weekend in Lake Chelan. On Saturday, they had...Triathlons: Half-Iron (3200 Meter Swim, 56 Mile Bike, 13.1 Mile Run), Olympic (1600 Meter Swim, 28 Mile Bike, 10K Run), Running Events: 10K and Half Marathon...I DID THE 10K RUN...but watching these other people bike and swim it was amazing!!! When we 1st arrived yesterday morning there had to have been 100 people in the lake swimming it really was an amazing sight...I wish I would have gotten a picture...I don't know how they do it! Swim, then get on a Bike and then Run...AMAZING...really AMAZING!!!

Today they are holding a Try-A-Tri (400 Meter Swim, 14 Mile Bike, 5K Run), Sprint
(800 Meter Swim, 14 Mile Bike, 5K Run), and a Kids Splash n' Dash.

...this was my first run ever...I was a bit intimidated I guess...right before we got started the told all the runners no audio was immediately heard a bunch of grumbling...many people chose to break that rule...and I was one of them. Then we were all told to stay out of the way of the runners who were running for an Olympic I figured as long as I always stayed to the right - and I had my music on I would be just fine...I wasn't trying for an Olympic time so I guess it didn't really matter if they tried to DQ me...I wouldn't be DQ'd for anything. We started on a hill which was tough...and I thought it was interesting that people sprinted up it...only to get to the top and just be dead! oh well that was them - actually it was pretty hard and I was feeling it myself and it was HOT - in the 80's and I'm not used to running when its that warm.

So after I get to the top and I start breathing pretty steady again I seemed to be doing pretty well until I saw the snake ;) lol

Official Time: 01:02:31: I have to admit I was a little disappointed with my time because I was shooting for 1 hour or less! I'm going to blame it on the heat and that damn snake! lol (not to mention I might be on the verge of a stress fracture :( Last weekend when I went out and ran 10 miles I know put my ankle over the edge...and I was told to stay off it but everyone who knows me knows I DO NOT I had already paid for this race and I was doing it no matter what!)
...and before I say goodbye...I wanted to give a a big THANK YOU to my hubby Stuart...for driving me up there and cheering me along the way and taking these photos for me...I know you were stressed out that you wouldn't get any good shots for me too scrapbook lol :D You did good!!!

Like Mother Like Daughter :) makes me so happy that Camryn LOVEs to play soccer...and its quite fun to watch her play - she just gos and gos!!! Its as if she never gets tired...she runs and runs...she's still developing her skills and at the moment she is just running and running...but I have faith that if she sticks with it - she will become quite the little player!

So...this week she is attending the BOMBER futbol Academy! She's having so much fun! The kids think its pretty neat that I played for the Bombers back in the day - and its a bit saddening to me that my kiddos won't be Bombers themselves unless I put in a transfer - which I just might ;) because I really think being a Bomber is better then being a Falcon! But I am sure if you talk to their dad he will beg to differ. Here's a few photos that I got this morning...

We have 3 days of camp left - and then we are heading out of town again for a quick weekend trip...its hard to believe we are already almost done with July!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today's my turn to be featured over at Angela's Blog for Design Team Tuesday with Unity Stamping Co...if you haven't been there yet then you haven't seen this LO :) I made this one using the FRAME THIS ALPHA, JULY KOTM and the JUNE KOTM.

I also made this LO using the BRIGHT & MERRY WINTER WISHES was so funny when the kids saw this LO complete...they looked at it and stared at they said...we weren't wearing those hats on the 4th of July! lol I guess they had forgotten that we saw some winter fireworks back in December.

Thanks for stopping by today :)
