...today Ben started 3rd Grade!



...New School...New Friends! He was excited not scared at all :) That's my boy!!! Stuart and I both took him to meet his new teacher...he will have a VERY EXPERIENCED teacher this year completely different from last year...we are excited to be back in a district where clearly learning takes place at school.

Later in the morning we had our final walk thru on the new house...we really like the builder, he is really easy to work with and had no problems correcting anything we asked him to do. He lives in the Neighborhood and seems like him and his family will make great neighbors. We will be getting our keys on Friday and start moving boxes then...it'll be another busy weekend but at least this weekend won't include a 3 hour trip to Spokane ;)

Tomorrow Camryn will have her Kindergarten Assessment and Mason will get to meet his teachers too...they both don't have their first day's until next week...oh no gotta run...we have Baseball in 30 minutes!

Only 6 more days until the 1st day of school...

I can't believe summer is almost over...and FALL is about to begin...I LOVE FALL...but I hate to say goodbye to summer too! Ben starts 3rd grade on Wednesday...Camryn and Mason won't start their classes until after the Holiday weekend...but I am so happy to have already found out that both of them will be in am classes...I am jumping up and down over here!!! I took the kids to the mall the other day and they had a great time picking out a gift for their teacher...Mason has two teachers so he got to pick out two...I first saw this idea for these tags made by Amy Grendell you can see hers here...this is my adaptation ~ tfl

A specially formulated diet for people under stress...

Recently, I got to see my dad's mom...who I haven't seen in about a year in a half and when I was at least 25 pounds heavier...she about cried when I walked in the door...she hugged me and all she could say was she was so shocked, but she couldn't say anything else...but come to find out she thinks I'm too thin! My mom must think so too LOL...she recently sent me this the diet for people under stress...everyone knows I've been under some stress these last few months...but mom...I don't think I will be following this diet...good try trying to add a few pounds ;) However, I do LOVE the quote following...people come and go in our lives and we never forget how they made us feel.

This is a specially formulated diet designed to help people cope with the stress that builds during the day.

Breakfast
1 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 cup skim milk

Lunch
1 small portion lean, steamed chicken
1 cup spinach
1 cup herbal tea
1 Hershey's kiss

Afternoon Tea
The rest of the Hershey Kisses in the bag
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream with chocolate chips

Dinner
4 glasses of wine (red or white)
2 loaves garlic bread
1 family size supreme pizza
3 Snickers Bars Late Night Snack
1 whole Sarah Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)

Today we are "CELEBRATING"

...our 10th Wedding Anniversary!!! We really don't have any plans...since we did our real "celebrating" in April when we went on our Cruise...I can hardly believe we've been married 10 years...though its actually felt much longer then that. Stuart and I met when I was 15 years old so we've been together for 17 years! So in all that time we've been through alot...alot of disappointments...some very happy times...the births of our three children...and hopefully we can make it thru many more years together. So ten years ago, the weather wasn't much different then it is today EXCEPT today the wind isn't blowing a gale! Gosh when the arbor blew over and broke I thought I was going to die, but then I realized that really didn't matter...the arbor wasn't going to ruin our day...Stuart and I had been apart for an entire year prior to this day...we had been looking forward to this day - so it really didn't matter that the wind was blowing...does the wind ever stop blowing in the Tri-Cities...NO! Did it matter that it was so HOT? NO! Nothing really mattered except that we were finally going to be together and there was no longer going to be that distance between us...no more $400+ phone bills...today was our day :) And that was 10 years ago!

Moving On...

For the past 4 months we have been living, as I've put it HOMELESS...ok not really homeless...we have a home...its in Spokane...we've just not been living there...its been empty and its FOR SALE...so we've been crammed into a tiny apartment. Today, we received the news that we are going to buy a second home. We have been looking for the last few months. We decided that we would buy this as an investment property and live in it for the time being. (Hopefully this will make our house in Spokane sell!) Now this house that we are buying is a bit smaller then we are used to living in, however, its located at the golf course...its brand new construction...and the ENTIRE yard is already in...thank goodness...I told Stuart I wasn't laying anymore sod! It has a community pool, tennis and basketball courts...the area has miles of walking/biking and running trails and it is very close to Stuart's work...but that's not the best part...not only will stuart get his own office...but I get my own scrappin space too :) This will allow us to get the kids enrolled in school and ready to go before the end of the month even...so we have a very busy next couple of weeks ahead of us. But finally we can settle back down and start living NORMAL lives again...or at least I hope so.

Tomorrow will be our last day of Summer Soccer :(

...so this afternoon I sat down...pulled out some SS&M and made the coaches these cards.




It has been fun watching Camryn and Mason run around the field...ok let me re-phrase that...it was fun watching Camryn run around the field...and it was hilarious watching Mason chase after his own shadow. So tomorrow night is their last game and then we start T-ball. Maybe Mason will enjoy that sport more...so now instead of being busy 2 evenings a week we will be busy 4 because Ben also starts Fall ball! BUSY BUSY BUSY...there's just never a dull moment...

One of my favorite new companies is...

KAISER CRAFT...I love their stuff!!! Their products are amazing to work with...I just finished up this mini book yesterday...it'll be on display at a local store. I can't wait to play with more of their stuff. If you haven't had a chance to use some of their product you really need to use some yourself! I totally recommend it :) I spent alot of time at their booth in Chicago at CHA...I am just about finished with their Make and Take...I didn't finish it while there but its turning out cute!
