Apple Picking & Pumpkin Picking

Since yesterday we had a day off from school the kids and I, Grandma and Kaitie all took a drive and went to Spokane and visited one of my favorite places...Green Bluff...which is just about 15 miles North of Spokane. It was cold and the wind was blowing but we had fun...we picked our own apples that we'll make a crisp with for dessert for Sunday Dinner and we picked out pumpkins for the front porch...of course Ben ended up picking out the biggest in the field...we had a picnic lunch...in the car lol ate some yummy pumpkin doughnuts and then loaded back in the car and headed home.

Mason had a little accident while out in the orchard...they had these fiberglass rods sticking out of the ground and he touched one, so Grandma ended up walking him back up to where the bathrooms were so she could try and wash his hands...he was in some pain...but they told her that what pieces got in there would just have to work their way out on their own - poor little guy!

These are the best doughnuts EVER...nice and warm on the inside and a little crunchy on the outside....yummmmmmy!!!

Mason found his pumpkin right away he didn't waste anytime!

We had such a fun day - this is such a great place to visit - it just sucks now its a three and half hour drive instead of 20 minutes :(

Looks like a lot of fun! We were hoping to be able to our fall outing for pumpkins and corn maze today, but MegAnn had a make-up soccer game today right in the middle of the day! Oh well, maybe next Saturday.
