...a trip to the park...and an ER visit :(

Yesterday afternoon I took the kids down to the pond to feed the ducks and just hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather...only to have it end with a horrible fall taken by me! To make matters worse I didn't have my cell phone and we had walked there and THERE WAS NO WAY we would be walking back...I stepped down and over top of this big boulder and I heard this very loud crrraaaccckkkkkk. I knew immediately that was a very bad sign. I looked around and didn't see anyone but the kids but knew I was going to need help...luckily there was a golfer near by and I sent Ben to ask him if he had a cell phone...BEN TO THE RESCUE :) We called Stuart and had him come and get us...to make a long story short my xrays did not show a break but I will be going to the foot specialist next week to check any damage done to the ligaments. In the meantime I am in an aircast and on crutches - in alot of pain and have some awesome pain meds! All I can say is THANK GOODNESS I didn't break my hand or my arm ;) Here's some photos I took right before the accident...

Bind-it-All Design Team Call

My mom told me about this call and there was no way I was going to miss this...and not even the move was going to stop me from completing all the projects...though digging thru boxes to find some stuff caused some delays. This afternoon I was able to put on the last finishing touches on the last book - it sure feels great to be done and I love each one of them :) Here's my entire submission to the Design Team Call:

...along with what we did with their product they wanted to see some of our other work this is what I chose to share...

...if you don't have a Bind-it-All you really need to go get yourself one! They have to be the neatest tools I have ever owned!!! tfl

WOO HOO some more good news :)

I'm going to be in the February 2009 issue of Scrapbook Trends! ok...thanks for letting me share - now I'm off to package it up and mail - woo hoo!!!

hee hee hee for those who keep peeking....

...and you know who you are...we are finally getting to say goodbye to Spokane! Yesterday, we accepted an offer on our house. The people who are buying our home looked it one day and made an offer the next...and I don't blame them it is a nice house we did the same thing last year. The house will be closing soon...we are happy to be ending this chapter in our life!

Some REALLY GREAT News

Stuart and I got some really great news last night...you know that saying, "good things come to those who wait" lol

I'm getting ready to head off to Preschool - well drop Mason off that is...then meet Stuart at STARBUCKs ;) then I need to go to the LSS to pick up a new assignment.

Yesterday we ordered a new front door for our new house, oh good golly those things are spendy $2000 for a front door...but it sure is pretty! Of course we have to wait...these days we are good at waiting!

This afternoon I plan on finishing up 2 mini books and starting a few more. Have a great day!

We had someone interested in our house in Spokane...to make a long story short they we not able to get financing on their own...which really SUCKS for them because living SO CLOSE to their family in the neighborhood probably would have been so nice!

I am so thankful that Stuart has a wonderful job and it allows us to pay "ourselves" for two mortgages. I love living in a house again...the kids love their new school...neighborhood and new friends.

...another day of firsts...

Camryn had her First Day of Kindergarten! She was so excited, she already got to meet her teacher the other day but she could wait to put on her new dress! It turned out a little big but we are looking at it this way...at least she'll get to wear it for a really long time! lol

Mason had his First Day of Preschool! He couldn't wait to get to school...once we got there the first thing he did was pass out his teacher gifts without any prompting from me...he was so proud. He followed directions perfectly and when his teacher rang the bell I told him it was time for me to leave. He gave me a great big hug and kiss goodbye and out the door I went.

...last but not least, Ben finally got to ride the bus to school!

Starting Friday, both Ben and Camryn will ride the bus together in the mornings. Camryn will come home by herself and Ben will come home later in the day. I can't believe my kiddos are growing up! They are so independent which makes things so much easier, but its still a little sad :(

Over the weekend we got moved into our new house...we are still trying to unpack - so far all thats done is the kids rooms and toys but since they have been living without their "stuff" since April I wanted to do that first. I have some of the kitchen done and then I just couldn't help but get started on my "New Scrappin' Space" I even made two cards this afternoon after lunch since Camryn and Mason took a short nap. I can't share those just yet, but...I can share some other wonderful scrappin' news...I was asked to join a LSS DT...we had our first meeting this evening...and finally this afternoon the internet was connected and when I checked my email I had almost 40 messages to go thru...I had a request for one of my recent LOs for the upcoming 'A Scrapper's Year' Idea Book...this is Kimber McGray's and Summer Fullerton's NEW BOOK with Memory Makers...I can't wait to see this in print!!! This book is going to be AWESOME. Kimber posted there is going to be like 70 some designers in this book.

...today Ben started 3rd Grade!

...New School...New Friends! He was excited not scared at all :) That's my boy!!! Stuart and I both took him to meet his new teacher...he will have a VERY EXPERIENCED teacher this year completely different from last year...we are excited to be back in a district where clearly learning takes place at school.

Later in the morning we had our final walk thru on the new house...we really like the builder, he is really easy to work with and had no problems correcting anything we asked him to do. He lives in the Neighborhood and seems like him and his family will make great neighbors. We will be getting our keys on Friday and start moving boxes then...it'll be another busy weekend but at least this weekend won't include a 3 hour trip to Spokane ;)

Tomorrow Camryn will have her Kindergarten Assessment and Mason will get to meet his teachers too...they both don't have their first day's until next week...oh no gotta run...we have Baseball in 30 minutes!
