This week over at Page Plans we had some great sketches to work with...this card sketch was created by me and the LO sketch was created by Chris Ross...check them out and create your own if you have some extra time. The DT did some great projects and check back in on Wednesday to see some more terrific "stuff" created with these sketches.

I wanted to also share a little bit about the day I took these photos of the boys...Last weekend we all went out to my dad's work...he's a Firearm's SRT (Special Response Team) Instructor out in the area...for those of you who do not know what THE AREA is...the area is The Hanford Nuclear Reservation. My dad started working out in the area in 1983 as a Patrolman, then moved into a Tactical Response Team (TRT), then moved to the Helicopter Response Team (HRT), then moved the Special Response Team (SRT)...then he became a Lieutenant for the SRT Team....etc...then he became a Captain....and now we are back to the beginning lol needless to say he's been around for a LONG TIME! We (my sisters & I) grew up in this environment & with several of the "old timers". It was fun see a few of them this last weekend...anyways to get back to what we did...we got to drive the Skid Car...the EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)...which was complete NUTS...literally driving CRAZY....I was with the main instructor for that and we were going 60+ backwards its was crazy!!! Then we went to the shooting range where we got to shoot a H&K P7 M13 and a M4...now I know there might be people who won't be too happy that our children actually shot these guns with live bullets...but we all were briefed and led thru a safety lesson. I am not one to have guns in my house but I let my oldest son share this opportunity with his Papa. I feel its important that my kiddos know what their Papa does and just HOW IMPORTANT his job is to our country. He may not be in the military anymore but he is still considered a soldier and is protecting sensitive nuclear material and when called upon they are the only line of defense between any potential terrorists.
